At Team Cerro Nara, we are committed to nurturing and regenerating the natural ecosystems of our planet through innovative conservation practices and sustainable design. Based in Costa Rica and California, our team works within ancient natural systems to create a sustainable future for all.
Our Mission
To conserve biodiversity and globally significant ecosystems of Central Pacific Costa Rica by implementing ecosystem stewardship, providing access to primary rainforest for scientific study, education and training, and creating sustainable economic opportunities to local communities in Costa Rica and abroad.
Our Vision
We envision a world where communities are actively engaged in the preservation of their natural environments, where biodiversity thrives, and sustainable practices are the norm, not the exception.
History of Team Cerro Nara
Private landowners have been the stewards of 5,500 acres of conservation lands since 1991, and have been funding all aspects of implementing, maintaining and protecting these lands.
Team Cerro Nara, 501c.3 was initiated in 2020 to meet the demands of furthering and managing an entire BioRegion and the watersheds of Rio Naranjo and Savegre rivers, and the Cerro Nara Mountain Biosphere.

From initiating large-scale reforestation projects to influencing local conservation policies, our achievements inspire us to keep pushing forward.
